Employers must rebuild employee trust more than ever to enhance engagement, productivity, and confidence.
Fremont, CA: For several employees, the pandemic has created an environment of constant upheaval and unease. Employees globally confront unforeseen change and uncertainty, whether adjusting to remote work for the foreseeable future, implementing new COVID-19 workplace safeguards, facing salary cutbacks, working longer hours for less, worrying about job security, etc.
Employees are worried about how their firm connects with critical topics affecting society, like the battle for racial justice, LGBTQ rights, the 2020 Presidential Election, and others, along with coping with operational and psychological uncertainties. Faced with boosted employee scrutiny for their activities (or lack thereof) to support societal movements, executive leadership and business policy changes have resulted.

Only one-fifth of HR leaders believe their employee's trust company leaders, and abrupt corporate changes, especially at the executive leadership level, can cause employees to be uncertain about the future of the company and their careers and create further disconnect mistrust among the workforce.
Honesty is the Best Policy
The initial step in instituting trust is to be truthful, like in any relationship. Tackle any flaws or mistakes users made during the coronavirus crisis and use them to inspire change. Don't keep hiding them and go about the business as normal. When an employer accepts making errors, it is the first step in revamping trust and improving overall employer brand and perceptions. It is obvious that users areas for development.
Give Responsibility and Accountability
Workplaces could consider providing their loyal worker's further authority and accountability to reestablish employee trust. Giving the employees new responsibilities shows their trust, and rewarding hard work shows real gratitude for the time and effort. Moreover, its appreciation will reflect favorably on the user as an employer, enhancing the company brand.
Enable workers to see the value they provide to the company by displaying their work in the real world, sharing outcomes, or having more dialogues and evaluations. Likewise, rewarding extraordinary performance will strengthen good connections and the workplace reputation.
