Most LMS solutions in the market offer a catalogue of off-the-shelf contents using a topdown approach to learning that often takes the learner out of the workflow. While businesses have leveraged technologies to personalise their customer experience, they have lagged on the side of personalising their employee’s learning experience. Modern learners seek a more engaging, intuitive, interactive experience, one that mirrors how they use technology in their personal life, including a simple, mobile-first design with powerful search capabilities and organised libraries of easy access to video content and much more. Coorpacademy was established in 2013 by Jean-Marc Tassetto, Frederick Benichou and Arnauld Mitre, former top executives at Google, with the common goal to transform dull traditional e-learning modules into innovative, scalable corporate digital training solutions centred around learner experience. Fast-forward to today, the company is at the heart of Learning Sciences and Educational Technology Research in Lausanne, partnering with over 120 companies and has millions of employees worldwide trusting its digital learning solutions.

“At the center of everything we do is the learner experience. With that in mind, our goal is to offer a fluid, engaging and even addictive digital training solution with premium content,” explains Jean-Marc Tassetto, CEO and Co-founder of Coorpacademy. The firm has successfully reinvented the wheel with its Learning Experience Platform (LEP or LXP), which combines the latest instructional design innovations with a content library that is fully adapted to learners’ needs. The company aims to challenge pedagogical innovation in the e-market by transforming corporate learning into a more fun, flexible and collaborative experience while supporting transformation initiatives and day-to-day operational efficiency.

Coorpacademy’s innovative Learning Experience Platform is based on four key concepts - gamification, community, flexibility and reversed learning. It consists of an ever-growing off-the-shelf catalogue providing over 1700 courses focused on future work skills and major transformations (Digital, Organisational, Cultural, Management

and Sustainable) created by the firm’s pedagogical team or in collaboration with one of its training Partners and Mooc Designers. A unique aspect of the platform is the learner-centric approach and high level of personalisation when curating course content. Users can leverage Coorpacademy’s authoring tool, Cockpit, to create training courses and publish them on their platform to meet their specific challenges of large-scale online training. HR Teams can follow employees’ progression with the platform’s analytic dashboard to identify behavioural patterns and tailor L&D strategies that will improve the experience for every learner. The company also provides Customer Success services with a dedicated team to help clients deploy the learning experience platform across an organisation. Furthermore, Coorpacademy has integrated gamification into learners’ training activities to increase engagement and interactivity between collaborators. Inspired by the world of video games, users can test their new skills head-to-head against others in an interactive game mode of short durations called’ Battle’. Additionally, the company’s latest gamification format - Clue, the educational survey, was awarded for its pedagogical innovation at the recent “Les cas d’Or de l’EdTech” ceremony.

The black swan events of the COVID-19 pandemic have burdened HR teams with the challenge of re-skilling entire workforces to drive rapid digital transformation initiatives at an unprecedented pace while maintaining day-to-day productivity. That said, especially when conducted online, training can be perceived as boring and time-consuming for employees, with most of them guilty of skimming through e-learning activities like chores. Another major dilemma in online training is finding high-quality and engaging content. Against this backdrop, Coorpacademy has recently launched the Team offer, specially designed for start-ups and SMEs, enabling companies with less than 250 employees to take advantage of a 15-day free trial of its digital learning solution. Moving forward, the company plans to expand the functionalities of its Learning Experience Platform with new features such as review mode to encourage the retention of information and ensure the proper understanding of the course soon. “Our mission is to make learning more fun by engaging employees in training. Therefore, we are constantly seeking innovative and entertaining formats of training,” concludes Tassetto.
