HR TECH OUTLOOK6 APRIL 2019According to Gartner, 20% of the organization will include employee engagement improvement as a shared performance objective for HR and IT groups by 2020. In the fast-moving world where organizations are flying at the speed of light to cope with the competition, employee engagement is the key to deliver best practices. "How," one may ask. Employee engagement is considered a state of mind of an employee where they are committed rationally and emotionally to their work, owing to events, experiences, and expectations pertaining to their job and employer. In a perfect scenario of employee engagement, the employee is bound to go beyond their minimal work requirement and make efforts to deliver better outcomes. Several studies and research over the last few years have shown that organizations that dedicate themselves to employee engagement have outpaced their competitors. On several instances, high employee engagement leads to higher revenue, profit margin and the icing on the cake--customer satisfaction. Today's organizations are resorting to various options such as virtual working and peer-to-peer (P2P) recognition. Allowing the employees to telecommute helps reduce the stress levels of commuting through thick traffic. Also, the ability to work remotely helps boost the workers' morale and sense of responsibility, in turn, yielding high productivity. The use of P2P recognition helps colleagues form a tighter network. While this makes a significant difference in improving motivation to work, compete and cope with the team, it also helps appreciation-devoid employees benefit from peer recognition. However, in a working scenario that is filled to the brim with complexities and changes, does employee engagement suffice to drive better performance for even the most engaged employees? To help bring the best results, workplaces are directing their focus on collaborative working that hones employee agility and efficiency whilst working in an evolving working environment. To what ends can innovation go to help motivate and assist employees to stay driven, is anybody's guess. In this new era of new age technologies, we highlight the innovative employee engagement solution providers who are at the vanguard of accelerating the digital transformation of the industry.Let us know your thoughts.
